Hey Friends!
I know its been awhile, but life has been moving very fast the past 6 months and have been working on so so much! However, I’m finally able to get back on the road and tell yall all about new places!
So let’s get to it!!!
One of my oldest and dearest friends moved to Selinsgrove, PA bout 2 years ago. It’s taken me about as long to finally make it up there for a visit, but I am very glad I did! This college town in in central Pennsylvania along the Susquehanna River, and hosts locals and students of the Susquehanna University. Selinsgrove offers a warm, welcoming small town vibe with an old, traditional look. You can tell that this town hosts a lot of local festival and events, and the nerd in me would compare it to the feel of Harvest Moon. I had the opportunity to check out some cool spots, that if you’re ever in the area, you will need to check out!!
I got to stay at the Selinsgrove Inn which was the only hotel in the downtown area. Now, it may be the only game in town, but you won’t be sacrificing quality. This hotel was very cozy and warm. The rooms were big and just had a feeling inviting feel. If you’re looking for a quiet, convenient, and great stay, I highly recommend this hotel. Be sure to get the room with the jetted tub! It’s big and very relaxing. Places like this make me consider doing hotel reviews so I could go more into depth about the amenities but until then, check out their website!
Selin’s Grove Brewing
This place is awesome. If you’re ever looking for a cool, old, colonial feeling place to have some amazing beer, look no further! Walking into the building, you feel like you’re being transported back to the 1700s. You’ll be surrounded by stone and planks with a warm low light atmosphere. I mean, come on, look at the place!
But the beers here are amazing. they have many different styles but I especially loved the Scottish Ale. Now, if you’re not a beer drinker, don’t worry. I have found that a lot of breweries in PA also offer wine and cocktail options.
