New Season, New Adventures, New Objective

Hey Everyone!

Over the course of last year, I was able to go and see and do so much but never got the chance to write about the adventures. I was involved with a wonderful woman that helped me explore, to see new things, and go to new places. Unfortunately she had other plans and I’m back to traveling alone. Which while yes, this was heartbreaking, it has given me insight on how to be not only be happy alone but how to effectively travel alone.

My goal this year is to help anyone who may be reading this some insight on how to not only be okay with the idea of being alone while traveling, but also how to make it enjoyable. I have a lot of solo trips coming up so I will be taking a deep dive into what it means to travel alone. I will share with you best practices, physical and mental effects, and also what gear you may need to make the best of it. As you know by now, I am a photographer so some of this will be about what gear I’m bringing with me and what I use. I will be bringing you new photos, new stories, new places, and new experiences.

I will be leaving the country twice this year so bear with me on my original goal but I assure you, the journey will be well worth it. Just always remember, sometimes it’s okay be alone. It’s important to take some time for yourself and learn more about yourself in the process. It is part of being a Drifter, to go out and explore on your own. I hope you will join in my journey of further self discovery and I hope I can help you can discover something about yourself as well. I feel like there is a lot to be discovered this year, a lot of growth, a lot of self-reflection, and a lot to experience while still finding the best of the local places, best food, best bars, and best stories. I have put this off long enough and it’s time to get back to work! I have a big road trip coming up this week so come along with me as we head south!
