Hey everyone!

I wanted to take my first post and introduce myself. My name is Jason Eib and I am from Richmond, Virginia. I have a love for the road, photography and the idea of “local” that I have been wanting an outlet for. Started as a kid, my love for travel comes from my grandparents. back in 1998, they were able to take myself and my brother on a 2 week vacation in Hong Kong. Let me tell you, that was the most eye opening experience. Ever since then, i have been OBSESSED with traveling and exploring. i bought my first camera in Times Square at the age of 12. It was a 35mm Canon film camera, and i still have it today! I later went to college to pursue a degree in photography with a focus on landscape/urban photography. However i graduated with a degree in Business Administration. But, after college, I was able to chase a dream of playing national paintball. Random I know but it revitalized my love for the road. I was able to travel to so many places for events and while we were there, we are able to check out the cool “local” spots which is where this whole idea comes from. 

My goal is to explore places that may not be on everyones travel list, but places that may be near by those places. I want to showcase local restaurants, bars, activities, festivals, and even local folklore. I will be exploring the “alternative route” locations and also some big cities (but i promise to keep it as local as possible!) I don’t believe in the touristy parts of the world. I want to find and share what makes these places unique, different, and why the locals are proud to call them home.
